Live! by Loews - St. Louis opened its doors today, adding 216 rooms, 17,000 square feet of meeting space and a number of other group offerings to the Missouri city's burgeoning downtown neighborhood. A key part of the $260 million St. Louis Ballpark Village expansion project, the eight-story hotel is the first new-build property in downtown St. Louis to open in nearly a decade.
The property aims to serve as an attractive venue for meetings and conventions, while providing visitors with resort-style accommodations steps away from Busch Stadium. Accommodations, including 19 signature suites, offer high-end amenities, spacious layouts with minimalist design, and floor-to-ceiling windows meant to showcase the views of neighboring Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village.
The hotel meeting spaces include a 5,000-square-foot grand ballroom, executive board room and 6,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with green space and expansive views of the St. Louis skyline, including the landmark Gateway Arch.
A joint venture from Loews Hotels & Co., The Cordish Companies and the St. Louis Cardinals, the hotel is the latest addition to the fast-developing Ballpark Village. The mixed-use entertainment district is in Phase 2 of construction, which will add new restaurants, retail and luxury residences to the area. The development already has numerous attractions and hosts more than 120 free events annually.
"We are thrilled to be a part of the revitalization of downtown St. Louis and Ballpark Village, and look forward to bringing a new standard of hospitality to the area when we open our doors," said Geneya Sauro, general manager for the new hotel. "We look forward to being a destination for the community to gather and be entertained, as well as a sought-after home base for visitors exploring downtown St. Louis."
The property includes a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes. Its four F&B venues offer flexible spaces for groups, from the classic steakhouse Clark & Bourbon to the indoor/outdoor bar and lounge of The Bullock.
