Loews Hotels has unveiled the Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center in Texas, the company's second and largest hotel in the city. Just 10 minutes from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the 888-room property's Arlington Convention Center features 266,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

The new hotel is a full-service meetings, events and resort destination surrounded by first-class sports venues, including Globe Life Field, home of the World Series Champion Texas Rangers, and AT&T Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys' home field.

The existing 300-room Live! By Loews Hotel across the street is now connected to the new convention center via skybridge, and collectively, the Loews complex now has 1,188 rooms and close to 300,000 square feet of event space.

"This opening marks a new day for the meetings and events business in North Texas with the addition of a new resort in the sports and entertainment capital of the world,” said Alex Tisch, president and CEO of Loews. “We anticipate to fill the hotel with sports enthusiasts and entertainment fans during game days and concerts, and the rest of the time, with corporations, associations and incentive groups, who will enjoy some of the best meeting space in America.”

Gathering spaces

The hotel's 200,000 square feet of indoor meeting space includes the 51,000-square-foot Crystal Ballroom, the largest in North Texas, one of three ballrooms in the convention facility. A 27,228-square-foot event lawn is part of the 66,000 square feet of outdoor function space. More than 30 breakout rooms are available in a range of sizes, as well as 43,000 square feet of exhibit space.

The Loews Arlington Hotel features five restaurants and lounges, including Farena, the three-meal Italian restaurant with two large wood-fired stone pizza ovens, and the Pasta Lab, serving fresh pasta made in-house.

Rounding out the eatery options are Veranda, an al fresco extension of Farena under a covered patio; Tomar El Sol, the poolside restaurant; Railbird, an artisanal market and coffee shop; and a lobby bar and lounge. Soy Cowboy, a pan-Asian fusion concept by Berg Hospitality will debut in summer 2024.

The property also features a full-service spa and salon, and a resort-style beach club with two pools, cabanas, firepits, a water slide and a man-made sandy beach.
