Swiss hotel company Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts plans to grow its portfolio in Turkey, Mongolia, Morocco and Pakistan over the next four years. Mövenpick will open two more properties in Morocco by the end of this year, including the 184-room Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca, with six meeting rooms, which is slated to open end of July. Under construction is the 374-room Mövenpick Hotel Marrakech, which is part of a retail development that includes a Hard Rock Cafe, a Buddha Bar and an upscale mall. Mövenpick's Pakistan property, the company's first, is a rebranding of the former 407-room Sheraton Karachi, which will undergo a renovation later this year.The company will add its fourth hotel in Turkey this year with the opening of the 137-room Istanbul Golden Horn. In the pipeline are two hotels for Mongolia, which are slated to open by 2018.
