Renovated Rooftop Restaurant Reopens at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

The Rooftop by JG, the Jean-Georges Vongerichten-helmed al-fresco dining spot atop the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, will reopen this Friday, June 12. The celebrity-chef establishment, a draw for locals and guests alike at the 170-room luxury Los Angeles hotel, was lightly remodeled during its brief shutdown.

The most prominent new feature of the restaurant is an expansive shade trellis that now covers the dining and bar areas. The structure will improve the dining experience year-round, providing adequate shade in the hotter months and heating when the temperature drops.

"We are thrilled to reopen our popular rooftop dining destination after this enhancement renovation to provide guests with an even more comfortable way to enjoy the outdoor setting as they take in the stunning views of Los Angeles along with a delicious cocktail and our fresh, locally sourced cuisine," said hotel general manager Vanessa Williams. "The Rooftop by JG remains the place to be in Los Angeles, and we look forward to welcoming guests back to the beloved dining venue."

Per reopening guidelines for Los Angeles, the bar remains closed but reduced-capacity seating will be available at the rooftop lounge and restaurant area. A maximum of six guests will be permitted at each table, to meet social-distancing requirements. Sanitation stations will be available throughout the property, and diners will be able to pay from their tables with minimal person-to-person contact. QR codes will be used for viewing the menu.

Reservations will be required to access the restaurant, which will be open 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for lunch and 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. for dinner. Jean-Georges created many of the signature menu dishes, and executive chef Steve Benjamin oversees the day-to-day operations.
