Today, the 800-room Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., unveils a new fly-fishing program and Base Camp. The latter is a check-in area for all of the resort's wilderness offerings, such as guided hikes, mountain-bike tours, rock climbing and falconry. Base Camp also offers retail outdoor apparel, gifts and equipment. The seven-cabin Fishing Camp, which will feature a rustic main lodge, debuts at the end of May and will offer half- and full-day guided trips on the Tarryall River. This third member of the property's Wilderness Experience portfolio is about 75 minutes from The Broadmoor proper, and joins Cloud Camp, an 8,000-square-foot main lodge with 11 one- and two-bedroom cabins on top of Cheyenne Mountain, and the 10-cabin Ranch at Emerald Valley in Pike National Forest, about 30 minutes from the resort. The Broadmoor also offers three top golf courses and 185,000 square feet of meeting space.TagsHotels and Resorts
