A $50 million renovation has been completed at the 500-room Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in Texas Hill Country just outside San Antonio. All guest rooms and the 54,000 square feet of meeting space were upgraded, and technology throughout the property was updated.

"As we celebrate the 30-year anniversary of our beautiful resort this year, we are thrilled to offer an enhanced product paired with the premier service and experiences our guests have come to know and love over the years," said general manager Steven J. Smith. "We look forward to welcoming travelers, groups and our local community to experience the updated Hyatt Regency Hill Country for an unforgettable getaway they will cherish for years to come."

The new look for the resort’s 500 guest rooms and suites include:

  • Warm neutral tones with an accent wall, new wood flooring and rugs, and a chaise lounge;
  • New artwork that pays tribute to the resort’s history as the Rogers-Wiseman Ranch, with framed family photos and sketches, graphic artwork created by a local Hill Country artist, and other historic San Antonio pieces;
  • Updated technology and amenities including LG 65-inch TVs;
  • An overhaul of the bathrooms with new tile work, toilets, fixtures, marble countertops, vanity lighting and some walk-in showers; and
  • The conversion of all double-double rooms to instead be outfitted with two queen beds.

The property's 54,000 square feet of event space also was renovated. The Hill Country Ballroom, Fredericksburg Ballroom and all indoor breakout rooms have been updated with new carpeting, wall coverings, light fixtures and sound systems.

The resort features a five-acre water park, including a 950-foot lazy river, a FlowRider wave-simulation machine, a two-story water slide, four pools and waterfall whirlpools. The Windflower Spa features treatments using Texas herbs and wildflowers, and there's a eucalyptus steam room, a dry sauna, and a heated outdoor pool surrounded by live oaks, hammocks and swings. Golfers of all abilities will enjoy the Hill Country Golf Club's 27 holes of championship golf. Six eateries are available on site, and selections from the menus can be packed to take along on an adventure.
