Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened the 416-room Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, the brand's first property in Thailand.
Roughly 40 minutes by car from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 45 minutes from Don Mueang International Airport, the hotel adds a new meetings-focused option in Bangkok's Sukhumvit district. The opening also marks the latest step in Fairmont's plans to expand across Asia, following recent debuts in Hanoi and Tokyo.
A new contender in Bangkok's meetings market
Designed to accommodate everything from executive meetings and product launches to international conferences and gala dinners, the new hotel's 21,500-square-foot event portfolio is anchored by the 6,800-square-foot Signature Grand Ballroom featuring 40-foot ceilings and a dedicated arrival forecourt.
Additional venues include a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms and a collection of multipurpose meeting spaces. The hotel also is home to Couture Hall, which offers nearly 3,200 square feet of function space, a breakout room, a private VIP room and access to an outdoor area suitable for receptions and networking events.
Dining options extend beyond the meeting room
Seven food-and-beverage concepts are scheduled to debut in phases through year-end, including Harper's, a North American–French brasserie; AELA Social Bar, a daytime lounge that transitions into the hotel's signature cocktail venue; Wiggle Room, an immersive supper club set to open in September; and CAYA Pool Club. Additional dining venues planned for the hotel's 32nd and 33rd floors will offer rooftop settings overlooking the Bangkok skyline.
For attendees looking to explore beyond the hotel, the property's Sukhumvit location places them within easy reach of Bangkok's dining, nightlife and shopping districts. On property, meanwhile, organizers will find a variety of options for group dining and after-hours gatherings.
Wellness and sustainability take center stage
The hotel also features wellness amenities, including a full-service spa, fitness facilities and dedicated spaces for yoga and other movement-based programming.
From a sustainability perspective, the property was designed to LEED Gold standards and incorporates features such as water-recycling systems, smart-energy technology, EV-charging stations and design elements intended to improve indoor air quality.
