Now gleaming: The renovated Boardwalk Hall
The landmark Boardwalk Hall finished a
three-year, $90 million renovation last September. The 13,800-seat
venue is now used for concerts, conventions and sports events.
Work continues on The Borgata resort, a $1 billion property set
to open in summer 2003 with 2,010 rooms and 44,000 square feet of
function space.
Showboatthe Mardi Gras Casino broke ground last month on a
544-room, $90 million tower. Upon opening in spring 2003, the venue
will have 1,304 guest rooms.
In May, the Tropicana Casino and Resort will break ground for a
$225 million, 502-room tower with 25 meeting rooms and a
200,000-square-foot entertainment, dining and retail center, all to
be completed in March 2004.
