How to Rent a Tent
Getting the right tent means knowing
what to ask beforehand. Consider these tips from The Event Planning
Network (www.eventtips.com).
Price check. Ask if the cost of renting
includes setup and take-down and if additional charges apply for
weekend delivery.
Drying time. To avoid mildew, ask if the tent
has been properly dried and deodorized from prior use.
Contract details. Make sure the contract spells
out type of tent, all fees, setup and take-down times, deposits and
the refund policy.
Insurance issues. Ask the company to provide a
current certificate of insurance indicating adequate compensation
for any possible damages caused by tent setup, take-down or
use.
Tent types. Note that canopy tents are not
suitable for use during heavy rain or high wind. Sturdier pole and
marquee tents require additional room for staking.
