The 150-room Woodlark Hotel in Portland, Ore.’s West End has joined the Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, a collection of independent hotels with distinct character and connections to their communities. The move allows Woodlark to maintain its independent identity while offering the benefits of Marriott's Bonvoy loyalty program.

“The Woodlark has always been about thoughtful hospitality and steadfastness in its roots of independence,” said Paul Patino, general manager of the hotel. “Joining the Tribute Portfolio means we can keep our independent spirit while gaining the resources of a globally recognized brand.”

Inside the Woodlark Hotel

Reopened in 2018, the hotel combines two historical Portland buildings: The Woodlark Building, which debuted in 1912, and the Cornelius Hotel, built in 1908.

The guest rooms feature a clean and inviting modern décor, all with walk-in showers and 50-inch TVs. A host of suite designs include the Studio Suite Bunk, with a king bed and a nook with bunkbeds for attendees who bring their families, as well as the Loft Suite, where a spiral staircase leads up from the living room to the king bed above.

The three-meal Bullard Tavern handles guests' dining desires with an elevated American menu. Abigail Hall — a lounge serving creative cocktails and upscale bar food — is named for suffragette Abigail Scott Duniway, who was the first woman to register to vote in Oregon's Multnomah County; the space is carved out of the former Ladies Reception Hall at the Cornelius Hotel. The bright and airy Roseline Coffee is the hotel's grab-and-go option.

About 2,100 square feet of meeting space is available for groups of up to 100 people.
