Carnival Glory
Caribbean caravan: The new Carnival Glory
The new $500 million Carnival Glory in July inaugurated
year-round service from Port Canaveral, Fla., to various ports in
the Caribbean. The ship, which holds 2,974 passengers and has more
than 500 cabins with oceanview balconies, breaks new ground in
several ways.
Unusual for a ship’s show lounge, the Glory’s Amber
Palace rises three tiers and seats 1,400.
The Emerald Room, a reservations-only dining option at extra
charge, offers steaks, seafood and an intimate ambience.
For meetings, the Glory offers a faux-tusk-adorned
Ivory Club, which holds up to 145 people; the Cinn-A-Bar, with
curving aluminum walls (for up to 50 people); the Copper Room (up
to 40), and the Crimson Club lounge (up to 30).
