Airline Passenger Satisfaction Continues to Rise

It's hard to believe in light of recent outrageous incidents, but market-research firm J.D. Power's 2017 North America Airline Satisfaction Study shows overall satisfaction with the airline industry in 2017 increased over 2016 by a significant 30 points, to 756 on a 1,000-point scale, continuing a trend of steady performance increases that began in 2013. Passengers on both traditional and low-cost carriers are more pleased, with legacy carriers continuing to close the satisfaction gap with low-cost carriers, averaging 740 points vs. 784 points, respectively.
