Meetings & Conventions: Incentive News

Luxury Travel Show Launched
A new, upscale travel trade show targeting
high-end leisure, corporate and incentive buyers is being launched
late this year in Cannes, France.
The International Luxury Travel Market, which will be held Dec.
10-12 at the Palais des Festivals, is a joint venture between
U.K.-based firms ILTM Ltd. and Reed Travel Exhibitions, the
organizers of the European Incentive, Business Travel &
Meetings Exhibition.
According to Serge Dive, marketing and managing director for the
show, the format will include 400 hosted buyers, with the majority
(54 percent) coming from Europe and about 20 percent from the
United States. An additional 600 buyers from elsewhere around the
world are expected to attend. Among exhibitors the organizers are
targeting are tourist boards, luxury ski and golf resorts, air and
yacht charter firms, five-star-plus hotels and other upscale travel
suppliers. Dive predicts the show will attract 150 exhibitors in
its first year.
The event also will feature a conference and hosted evening
events in Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo. For details, go to ILTM’s
Web site at www.iltm.net.
