M&C’s Interact Ends on High Note in New Orleans

M&C's Interact, our annual hosted-buyer event that was held in New Orleans this year, ends this morning on a high note following three days of one-on-one appointments, education sessions and Big Easy hospitality. The 101 participants were energized by a dynamic keynote address by Simon Bailey on how to "release their brilliance." Also inspiring and moving was a presentation/photo session with New Orleans photographer Robert Fogarty, founder of the Dear World portrait project. The group got a warm welcome from the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau's Cara Banasch, who reflected on the city's 10-year recovery from Hurricane Katrina and previewed the city's next big milestone, its 300th anniversary in 2018.

Guests enjoyed a huge helping of Crescent City music, great eats and charm at events including two colorful street parades, and evenings at the House of Blues, LaTrobe's and host property the New Orleans Marriott. Activities included a walking tour of the French Quarter, a city highlights bus tour, beaded mural-making at the Mardi Gras Bead Mural Project at Degas House and a CSR project, which bad volunteers spending an afternoon giving back to the local community working at the St. Bernard Building Project.
