The Old Course at St. Andrews

For golfers, St. Andrews is a preview of heaven. With last year’s debut of the St. Andrews Bay Golf Resort & Spa, the area is now a haven for meetings, too.

The 209-room resort overlooks two championship golf courses that play to the North Sea and offer views of the old town. Inside is a 15,000-square-foot conference center featuring a 6,179-square-foot ballroom and a 106-seat theater.

Within driving distance are many of the country’s best traditional golf courses, including the Old Course in the middle of town. Also in range is the newer Kingsbarns Golf Links, which runs along the North Sea coast.

For group events, head to the vintage 1700s Strathtyrum House, which hosts 20 for dinner, 50 for a reception and sleeps 13.
