SeaDream II
The newly renovated SeaDream II
Following a top-to-bottom refurbishment, the SeaDream Il again
welcomed guests this past February. The ship is one of a pair now
collectively called the SeaDream Yacht Club, a venture of Atle
Brynestad, who bought these former Seabourn Cruise Line vessels
from Carnival Corp. to start his own brand. (Brynestad founded
Seabourn in 1987.)
Yacht-owner wannabes will like the casual intimacy of this
110-passenger ship. Rooms are outfitted with Belgian linens and
Bulgari bath amenities. Meals are replete with the likes of Sevruga
Malossol caviar.
The line aims to do at least half of its business in charters,
with one Sea Dream handling private groups and the other hosting
leisure travelers. The ships offer flexible Caribbean and
Mediterranean itineraries.
