InterContinental Hotels Group is collaborating with Social Tables to launch IHG's new groups and meetings digital platform, called Shop & RFP. The hotel company, which has more than 5,400 properties worldwide, expects Social Tables' leading technology to make the digital platform easy to use for planners as they source and compare potential venues across IHG's portfolio.
According to IHG, Shop & RFP contains data on every hotel's group venues, including hotel and meeting room details (with room capacities, floor plans and interactive maps), along with image galleries and lists of nearby attractions. The detailed level of information, said IHG, will allow planners to find exactly what they are looking for based on location, capacities and amenities across the chain's 15 leading brands, including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Holiday Inn Hotels.
The company said more than 15,000 RFPs already have been submitted to IHG hotels around the world on the new digital platform.
Derek DeCross, senior vice president of global sales for IHG, said in a statement, "We have hotels with meeting space in more locations around the world than anyone else, so it's critical we make it easy to access all the information our meeting planners and customers need to select and book the right location. With each event being unique, meeting and event planners need real-time access to capacity information and robust content that will help make their decision -- and that's what we set out to do."

According to IHG, Customers who make bookings on behalf of others also can take advantage of IHG Business Rewards, earning points every time they book accommodation, meetings or events at participating IHG hotels worldwide.
IHG, whose portfolio represents nearly 800,000 guest rooms in almost 100 countries, has an additioinal 1,700 hotels in its global development pipeline.
