NEWS FLASH 
The 339-room PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens has completed a $125 million refresh. Included were upgrades to the sports club and the addition of a 1,792-square-foot presidential suite and a 3,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor terrace.

 The Hyatt Place Boca Raton will debut this summer. The hotel will have 200 guest rooms and about 4,000 square feet of meeting and retail space.


BIKES AND BITES
Participants can pedal their way -- via unique 15-person bikes -- to tasty West Palm Beach dining spots on the fun foodie tour crafted by CP Tours. 


GO GREYHOUND
Groups can spend a dog day afternoon or evening watching sleek greyhounds race around the track at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. The on-site Paddock Restaurant accommodates up to 200 people.

THE PALM BEACHES 

Local Update
 The 400-room Hilton West Palm Beach opened in January. The property, which is connected to the Palm Beach County Convention Center, has 24,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 224-seat restaurant, outdoor fire pits and Restoration Hardware-outfitted pool cabanas.

 The 158-room Mandarin Oriental, Boca Raton, is slated to open in 2017. The property, part of the Via Mizner, an upscale mixed-use development currently under construction, will have a rooftop restaurant, a fitness center, a spa and extensive meeting space, including a 4,500-square-foot ballroom.

 A 150-room Canopy by Hilton property will be built near CityPlace, West Palm Beach's distinctive downtown retail, dining and entertainment complex. The property, scheduled to open in late 2017, will have a restaurant and a rooftop pool.

 The Residence Inn West Palm Beach Downtown/CityPlace Area has opened as the Palm Beaches' first extended-stay property. The 152-suite hotel has 2,510 square feet of event space and is within walking distance of more than 120 shops and restaurants.

 Café Boulud Palm Beach, chef Daniel Boulud's restaurant at the 80-room Brazilian Court Hotel, has completed a redesign of its private dining areas, the Ballroom and the Conservatory; the French doors that separated the two spaces have been removed, allowing contiguous seating for events of up to 150 guests. The cafe's bar also has been expanded, and the dining menu has been retooled.

 The Flagler Club, a 25-room luxury boutique hotel located within The Breakers resort, reopened in late 2015 following a $5 million refurbishment. In other Breakers news, The Spa at The Breakers reopened in late November 2015, following a $4 million transformation. The facility now offers 17 treatment rooms in all, plus a private courtyard, upgraded lounges, and a salon area for hair and nail services. The Breakers has a total of 70,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space.

 The 189-room Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort has redesigned its public spaces with new furniture, increased Wi-Fi bandwidth, and charging stations for smartphones and other devices.

Whitehall, Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was considered "more wonderful than any palace in Europe" when it debuted in 1902. The venue, a National Historic Landmark, is now the Flagler Museum. Attendees can explore it on their own; private events also can be accommodated.
