ALHI Adds 3 Copenhagen Hotels to Portfolio

The luxury hotel consortium expands its Denmark footprint with conference-worthy properties.

Copenhagen Island Hotel

The 326-room Copenhagen Island has 2,890 square feet of meeting space in a waterfront setting.

Associated Luxury Hotels International, a global sales organization representing independent properties, is growing its European presence with the addition of three new members, all in Denmark, from the Arp-Hansen Hotel Group -- the Phoenix Copenhagen, the Imperial Hotel and Copenhagen Island. They join the consortium's current Copenhagan member, the Tivoli Hotel and Congress Center.

The four-star luxury Phoenix Copenhagen has 213 guest rooms and five conference rooms. The hotel, which underwent a complete renovation in 2018, is centrally located among the high-profile galleries and restaurants of downtown Copenhagen. The on-site restaurant, Brasserie Murdoch's Books and Ale, serves lunch, dinner and drinks among rustic leather furniture and floor-to-ceiling book cases.

The Imperial Hotel offers 304 guest rooms and six meeting rooms. Its newly refurbished restaurant serves authentic Italian dishes made with seasonal ingredients. This modern, four-star property is close to Tivoli Gardens, City Hall Square and Copenhagen Central Station.

Copenhagen Island is a waterfront property with 326 guest rooms and 2,890 square feet of meeting space. Guests can take in sweeping views of the city's harbor and enjoy an internationally inspired meal at the hotel's restaurant and bar.

"In the last few years, we have seen an increasing demand for Copenhagen as a meeting destination," said Michael Dominguez, president and CEO of ALHI, in a statement. "We are proud to have added three more hotels from the Arp-Hansen Hotel Group to our portfolio, as they each uniquely showcase the history, culture and entertainment options in this dynamic city to international meeting attendees."
