Despite Covid-19's devastating impact on the hospitality industry, plans for new properties are forging ahead. Coming to Orlando in 2023 is a new resort complex with 10,000 guest rooms and 150,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. The Evermore Orlando Resort will sit on 1,100 acres next to Walt Disney World, on the site of the former Villas at Grand Cypress. The resort complex will include vacation homes, villas and a luxury hotel. The plans also call for a 20-acre tropical beach complex, an aquatic adventure area with a waterslide and various water sports, and a new 18-hole golf course.
The hotel, which will be part of the Hilton Conrad collection, will feature 433 guest rooms, including 51 suites. A spa, a rooftop venue, multiple dining options and 40,000 square feet of meeting space are also expected. The Conrad Orlando at Evermore will abide by Hilton's CleanStay coronavirus cleaning and disinfecting standards, which were created in collaboration with Lysol maker RB and the Mayo Clinic.
The resort's lodging options also will include 5- to 11-bedroom vacation homes with private heated pools; four-bedroom/four-bathroom flats along the shores of the lagoon; and two- or four-bedroom villas with patios. Every property will be completely owned, operated and managed by the on-site team, ensuring consistency in standards and providing alternative options for groups and families.
Bookings for the Evermore Orlando Resort are slated to launch in 2022, with a grand opening scheduled for the summer of 2023.
"We are incredibly excited to expand on our strong presence in the Orlando market and introduce the Conrad brand to a new city," said Danny Hughes, executive vice president and president, Americas at Hilton. "Conrad Orlando at Evermore will undoubtedly be a sought-after destination for Orlando travelers and will provide guests with outstanding service and impactful experiences when they visit the city."
