Following a $15 million renovation, the
209-room Hotel Angeleno has reopened for business.
Changes at the property include redesigned guest rooms and the
addition of an Italian steak house, a heated outdoor pool and
lounge area, and a fully equipped fitness center. The hotel also
features a spa as well as more than 3,400 square feet of meeting
space.
FL, Fort
Lauderdale
A new St. Regis property is set to open
in Fort Lauderdale this fall. The 166-room St. Regis
Resort, Fort Lauder-dale, will feature an oceanfront
restaurant, a spa, fitness and business centers, an outdoor pool, a
skywalk connecting the hotel to the beach and more than 20,000
square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom measuring 8,500
square feet.
IL, Chicago
The Conrad Chicago
celebrated its grand opening in June. Formerly a Le Meridien, the
property has undergone a series of upgrades that included all 344
rooms and the outdoor terrace and bar. Plans are in place to revamp
the hotel’s restaurant. Set along the city’s Magnificent Mile, the
Conrad offers 12,000 square feet of meeting space.
IN, Indianapolis
The InterContinental Hotels Group
announced plans to convert the Holiday Inn Select
Indianapolis Airport hotel to a Crowne Plaza hotel this
fall. About nine miles from downtown Indianapolis, the 274-room
property will undergo an extensive $6 million renovation that will
include enhancements to the exterior, lobby, restaurant, bar, guest
bathrooms and 22,000 square feet of meeting space.
MA, Boston
Hilton Hotels Corp. announced in June
the grand opening of the Hilton Bos-ton Financial District
Hotel. Formerly a Wyndham property, the upscale, 362-room
hotel offers an array of amenities including high-speed Internet
access in all guest rooms, a business center, a fully equipped
fitness center, a dining room and approximately 10,000 square feet
of meeting space, including a 1,900-square-foot ballroom.
VA, Newport News
The 256-room Newport News
Marriott at City Center opened in June. The 11-story hotel
and conference facility features two restaurants, an indoor pool, a
fitness center, a fully equipped business center and more than
25,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.
WA, Bellevue
This past June, the Double-tree Hotel
here was rebranded as the Hilton Belle-vue. The
property, which is about a 10-minute drive east of the burgeoning
downtown district, features 353 revamped guest rooms, a business
center, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a new
restaurant and cafe, and approximately 35,000 square feet of
recently upgraded meeting space.
