Two Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino properties in Florida have debuted major renovations. Today, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood cut the ribbon on a $1.5 billion expansion, including a new rockstar-worthy, guitar-shaped hotel. Earlier this month, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa completed a $700 million renovation, adding to its portfolio a new hotel tower, events center, multiple pools, eateries, a spa and an expanded casino.

Rockin' Hotel for Hard Rock Hollywood

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood expansion includes an iconic guitar-shaped hotel that stretches 450 feet into the South Florida sky. The tower introduces 638 new guest rooms to the property and resembles two back-to-back instruments with six illuminated strings on each side. Each night, beams of light brighten the sky, mimicking the strumming of guitar strings. Complementing that tower is a new seven-story building featuring its own 168 rooms and swim-up suites that invite guests to step directly into the pool after heading out the door. The complex now offers a total of 1,271 rooms and suites, more than doubling its former room count of 465.

"The guitar tower will attract casino players and other visitors from throughout the country and around the world," said Jim Allen, chairman and CEO of Seminole Gaming, Hard Rock International. "It will put South Florida on the map as a world-class gaming destination, and it will have a huge economic impact. The gaming industry will never be the same."

New event spaces for the complex include the Hard Rock Live, a 225,000-square-foot theater-style venue with space for up to 7,000 guests; the 18,800-square-foot indoor Daer Nightclub and 21,130-square-foot outdoor Daer Dayclub, complete with its own pool. In total, the property now features 150,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, as well as a 26,000-square-foot promenade for retail and F&B outlets.

New dining options include an Italian restaurant, American grill, bakery café, a buffet, poolside dining options and an artisanal coffee shop. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood now features a total of 19 restaurants and 20 bars and lounges.

The property's 195,000-square-foot casino expansion has added more than 200 table games, 3,100 slot machines and a 45-table poker room to its gaming portfolio. Further additions include the Plum Lounge, an upscale enclave featuring VIP experiences for Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood's high-end players. Tampa Hard Rock Updates

Early this month, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa officially debuted a new, 14-story hotel tower, adding 562 additional guest rooms and suites to the resort's 237 existing rooms. The new tower houses three pools and a 26,000-square-foot spa with 13 treatment rooms, a hair and nail salon, and VIP suites. The property renovation also includes the addition of a 1,500-seat events center, located on the second floor of its casino. The space is available for private events and full buyouts.

The property's 223,900-square-foot casino has added 1,000 slots and 41 table games, accelerating gaming offerings to nearly 5,000 slots, 179 tables and a state-of-the-art poker room with 46 poker tables. One floor of the new hotel tower also features a private gaming parlor for VIP guests, with an exclusive check-in and private elevators to rock star suites.

"Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is already one of the largest and most profitable casinos in the United States," said Allen. "The expansion will increase entertainment and dining options, and help us attract guests from throughout the country and around the world."
