Now open is the 212-room Tommie Hollywood, part of the JdV by Hyatt collection. The downtown property, which debuted Dec. 1, is near the Hollywood Walk of Fame and just one block over from Sunset Boulevard.

The hotel features a contemporary design with a mid-century modern touch. Planners can take advantage of the 10,000 square feet of event space, including a rooftop pool and deck. An additional 15,000 square feet of event space is available next door at Citizen News, a new venue that opened at the end of November.

Tommie Hollywood offers two dining outlets. The signature restaurant, Ka'teen, serves cocktails and cuisine that pay homage to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Desert 5 Spot is a rooftop bar with striking 360-degree views of Los Angeles, a curated calendar of live music and margaritas on the menu. The property also offers a lobby bar and café, and a 24-hour fitness center serves guests' exercise needs.
