The 17-story Aventura Hotel has opened at Universal Orlando Resort. The sleek property -- the sixth at the resort -- has 600 guest rooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Other offerings include Bar 17 Bistro, Universal Orlando's first rooftop bar and grill. The venue features stunning views of all three Universal Orlando theme parks -- including the 200-foot centerpiece of Volcano Bay, Krakatau Aqua Coaster.
Urban Pantry, the hotel's modern food hall, serves globally-inspired dishes such as teriyaki stir-fry and smoked-salmon pizza. The rooms are outfitted with tablets that allow guests to order pizza in addition to adjusting many of the rooms' features, like the TV and temperature controls. For some downtime fun, the hotel offers a virtual-reality game room.
Universal's Aventura Hotel is just steps away from all three Universal Orlando theme parks -- Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure and Universal's Volcano Bay. The latter is connected to the hotel via a walking path, and complimentary shuttle buses are available for resortwide transportation. Guests of the property are entitled to exclusive theme-park benefits, including early park admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal's Volcano Bay; they can also charge food and other purchases at the theme parks using their room keys.
The new hotel brings the total number of guest rooms at Universal Orlando Resort to 6,200. The resort offers a total of 295,000 square feet of meeting space.
