On the Thames River just north of New London, the Mohegan Sun casino resort continues to enhance its group appeal.
New this year is the Earth Expo & Convention Center, a high-ceilinged, $80 million expansion giving the property a total of more than 275,000 square feet for meetings.
Aside from the 125,000 square feet of new exhibit space (which can be combined with the 20,000-square-foot Earth Ballroom), the center has a terrace off the Wolf Boardroom that holds up to 250 people for a reception.
Coming early next year is the Game On sports bar and restaurant, where guests will indulge in karaoke, darts, shuffleboard bowling, ping-pong, billiards and more. Groups of up to 600 will be able to take over the venue.
