Following a ribbon-cutting on Aug. 20, the 188-room Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown will begin welcoming guests on Aug. 29. A reimagining of the Hotel Texas Annex building, constructed in the 1970s, the boutique property will blend European touches with Texas charm.
“After nearly two decades of vacancy, we are thrilled to breathe new life into the space with the opening of Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown," said Kunal Mody, CEO of Blueprint Hospitality. "Following a complete redevelopment, we are excited to create lasting memories for both locals and visitors, bringing vibrant energy and timeless design to the heart of Fort Worth.”
Within easy walking distance of the Fort Worth Convention Center and close to local landmarks such as Trinity Park and Sundance Square, the new hotel will have 15 Pure Wellness rooms, which feature air purifiers and hypoallergenic linens. The guest rooms will sport a clean, modern line; floor-to-ceiling windows will look out on the city or on the hotel's courtyard.
The all-day dining spot will be called Bouvier Brasserie, serving French cuisine using regional ingredients; dishes will be able to be pared with a curated wine list. The Annex, the property's rooftop lounge with downtown views, will feature live music, crafted cocktails and a menu of small plates.
The hotel's 5,300 square feet of meeting space includes the 2,555-square-foot Chisholm Trail ballroom plus three small breakout rooms; events also are welcome for up to 150 people on the outdoor pool's deck. The fitness center will offer Peloton bikes, an elliptical machine, treadmills, free weights and other strength equipment.
