Healdsburg's Dry Creek Inn Reopens Tower and Event Center

The Northern California hotel's Villa Toscana and Krug Event Center, which had been leased to Sonoma County for pandemic-related use, are again welcoming groups.

Dry Creek Inn Healdsburg Villa Toscana

The Best Western Dry Creek Inn, a 163-room Tuscan-style hotel in Healdsburg, Calif., reopened its Villa Toscana guest rooms and 2,010-square-foot Krug Event Center at the end of March. Villa Toscana, which was completely renovated just before the Covid shutdown, had been leased to Sonoma County as a quarantine site for the past two years. Upon completion of that contract, the building was thoroughly sanitized and inspected before reopening for public booking.

Villa Toscana is an Italianate building overlooking a piazza, fountains and a picturesque landscape. The luxurious guest rooms are outfitted with fireplaces, either private balconies or patios, and jet tubs, among other amenities.

The Krug Event Center, which had been used by the county for logistical operations, was remodeled and is again open to host meetings. The venue, which accommodates up to 175 attendees, has wood dance floors, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, a covered patio, and a garden courtyard with seating, a fireplace and Tuscan-style fountains.

In total, the property has more than 4,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor event space — including two event rooms apart from the Krug Event Center that together offer a combined 1,625 square feet of space and can accommodate as many as 136 people for a banquet.
