The 149-room Hotel LeVeque, an Autograph Collection property, will open in January in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The boutique hotel's guest rooms will occupy floors five through 10 of the newly restored LeVeque Tower, which was built in 1927. The hotel's lobby will be on the first floor, and a fine-dining restaurant will debut in April on the second-floor mezzanine. The 47-story art deco building will be home to office and residential space as well.
As part of the property's involvement in the Columbus art scene, Hotel LeVeque is collaborating with local fashion designers for the staff uniforms and a local soap maker to create custom amenities. "Hotel LeVeque will shine a light on Columbus' incredible design, art and creativity, really bringing the spirit of the city to life for our guests," noted Geri Lombard, the hotel's general manager.
Hotel LeVeque also will offer guests local experiences, including getaway packages and optional activities that include culinary and fashion tours.
The property has 1,975 square feet of meeting space on-site, spread across three rooms. The largest, the Sapphire Room, is an 800-square-foot space on the mezzanine level that offers a large prefunction space with a full-service bar. The other rooms are on the hotel's second floor. The new hotel is adjacent to the restored Palace Theater, a nearly 3,000-seat venue.
