The 5,044-room MGM Grand Hotel & Casino recently began remodeling the 700 guest rooms in its Studio Tower, formerly knows as the West Wing.

The new design has a “retro desert feel” meant to evoke Palm Springs, with mid-century modern décor, and a palette of pinks and greens. New furnishings will include rounded window seats, enlarged headboards and globe sconces, while the bathrooms will have space-saving barn doors, marble shower floors and new chrome fixtures. Rooms will also have recessed mini-bars, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, open closets, plentiful USB power outlets and additional shelving.

The new design will be reflected in the lobby and elevator areas, as well. The first renovated rooms should be available in October, with the project expected to wrap up in December 2022.

For dining, the MGM Grand has more than 20 spots, including Las Vegas outposts from chefs Wolfgang Puck, Tom Colicchio, Masaharu Morimoto and Joël Robuchon. Nightclubs and bars also are numerous. Guests can choose from Hakkasan Nightclub, Whiskey Down, Losers Bar and Centrifuge, to name a few.

The property has more than 850,000 square feet of meetings space for gatherings of all sizes.
