W Hotels has announced plans to more than double its presence in Asia over the next five years. A total of 11 new W hotels will include properties in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha and Suzhou, as well as India, Indonesia and Malaysia. Later this month, the first W Hotel in mainland China will open in Guangzhou with 317 guest rooms, seven restaurants, a spa, a fitness center and 6,868 square feet of meeting space.
