The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa in South Carolina has begun a $10 million renovation. The project will revamp the existing 416 rooms, including 32 suites, as well as add three more rooms. The resort will remain open during the construction, which is scheduled to be completed in spring 2023.

The property offers eight room types and seven suite options, five of which are being renovated, such as the presidential, vice presidential and Carolina king suites. Two new suites also will be unveiled.

"Since 1988, the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa has been delivering approachable luxury with personalized service and energizing experiences, empowering guests to feel their best and make unforgettable memories," said Mike Tighe, the property's general manager. "This investment in refreshing our guest rooms and suites will truly provide our guests a sense of the island and allow us to maintain our positioning as a leading resort in the South."

The resort has 22 meeting rooms and 13 breakout rooms, for a total of 38,832 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Five on-site dining outlets include an outdoor grill, an American bistro with panoramic ocean views and a signature restaurant serving farm-and-sea-to-table dishes.
