Across from Coors Field, the Rockies' stadium, the baseball-themed Rally Hotel will debut March 26. The new property is part of the McGregor Square complex, a one-block development that will be home base for the hotel, condos, restaurants, a food hall and a circular center plaza.
Local curation and consulting firm Nine dot Arts has been tapped to put together the art collection at the Rally, aiming to illustrate the energy, excitement and history of its LoDo neighborhood. The works will be displayed throughout the public spaces and guest rooms.
The 21,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space includes the 2,061-square-foot Baseline Ballroom; the 1,783-square-foot Wynkoop Ballroom, named for the local brewery cofounded by former Denver mayor, governor and now senator John Hickenlooper; and the 735-square-foot boardroom. The 6,490-square-foot Skybridge Rooftop terrace is available for events and features views of the Rocky Mountains; the circular plaza also can be used for group gatherings.
A classic American menu will be served at the Original, which aims to be a go-to neighborhood eatery. Breakfast will be an all-day affair, complemented by the restaurant's own Bloody Mary recipe and mimosas (try the Croughnut Slider Burger, if your heart can take it). Other options to delight at dinner include prime rib, short ribs, boozy milkshakes and a rotating selection of pies.
