Michael Phelps to Speak at GBTA Convention 2017

Olympic gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps will be a featured speaker at this summer's Global Business Travel Association Convention, which takes place July 15-19 in Boston. Phelps will deliver a keynote in the Convention Arena on Wednesday, July 19.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome Michael Phelps to the stage at GBTA Convention 2017," said GBTA executive director and COO Michael W. McCormick. "Many athletes can win, but only a select few can truly dominate their sport like Michael Phelps has. Our attendees are sure to be entertained and inspired by his message of dream, plan and reach -- an approach we can all take in our personal and professional lives."

Phelps has won 28 Olympic medals, a record-setting 23 golds among them. He retired, again, after last year's Olympic Games in Rio, but he remains active in swimming via his Michael Phelps Foundation, which he established in 2008. He's committed to growing the sport of swimming through the foundation, with a focus on water safety.

Phelps has published two bestselling autobiographies, No Limits: The Will to Success (2009) and Beneath the Surface (2016), as well as a children's book, How to Train with a T-Rex and Win Eight Gold Medals. His "Dream, Plan, Reach" message has made him a popular inspirational speaker.
