Caesars Entertainment will rebrand the 2,814-room Bally's Las Vegas as the Horseshoe Las Vegas, transforming the center-Strip resort to be in line with the brand known for "gaming, poker and making it right for the gambler," according to the gaming and hospitality giant. The project will begin this spring, just as the venue prepares to host the World Series of Poker May 31–July 19.

Caesars will renovate the resort's exterior, add new entertainment and food-and-beverage outlets, and transform the casino floor and public areas. Expect the new design to reflect the Horseshoe brand, with lots of retooled leather and dramatic colors. More design details will be revealed soon.

“At Horseshoe, it’s all about the gambler," said Jason Gregorec, senior vice president and general manager of the property. "Since 1951, Horseshoe Casinos have been home to the best odds, highest limits and biggest jackpots. So it’s fitting that we bring Horseshoe back to Las Vegas, and right on the Las Vegas Strip."

The original Horseshoe was in downtown Las Vegas, at the site now known as Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel. Caesars currently operates six other Horseshoe Casinos around the country, in Baltimore; Bossier City, La.; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Hammond, Ind.; Indianapolis; and Robinsonville, Miss.

The World Series of Poker, which took place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino (formerly part of the Caesars portfolio) for 17 years, previously had been hosted at the original Horseshoe. This year, it will return to its Horseshoe-brand roots while making its debut on the Strip.

“We couldn’t be more excited to see the World Series of Poker return to Horseshoe,” said Ty Stewart, senior vice president and executive director of the World Series of Poker. “Horseshoe is where it all began for WSOP. It’s always been a brand for gamblers and card players."

The transformation of Bally's to Horseshoe is expected to be complete by the end of 2022.
