Cvent Names Europe's Top 50 Meeting Hotels of 2019

Hilton Prague tops the list for the second year in a row.

Among Prague's many virtues is a highest-rated hotel for meetings.

For the second consecutive year, the Czech Republic's Hilton Prague has earned the title of Europe's best meeting hotel, according to the meetings-technology giant Cvent, which on Tuesday released its 2019 list of the Top 50 Meeting Hotels in Europe.

Located between Prague's historic Old Town and its more modern business district, the Hilton Prague -- which is currently undergoing a complete room renovation -- has 791 guest rooms, three restaurants, two bars, a health club and spa, and over 12,000 square feet of meeting space, including a grand ballroom and 38 meeting rooms.

"I am very honored that the Hilton Prague has been repetitively recognized," said the hotel's general manager Michael Specking. "The Hilton Prague is the real creative metropolis with everything under one roof, and it's the right choice for inspired events of all kinds."

Compiled based on meeting and event booking activity on its venue-sourcing platform, the Cvent Supplier Network, Cvent's list ranks venues based on their performance in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions market, including total requests for proposals and conversion rate. Joining the Hilton Prague in the top 10 this year -- in order from No. 2 to No. 10 -- are:

• Meliá Castilla Hotel & Convention Centre Madrid
• InterContinental Vienna
• Hilton Barcelona, Spain
• Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile
• Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona
• Le Méridien Etoile, Paris
• Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference Center, Rome
• Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre
• Hilton London Metropole.

With 12 and eight properties, respectively, Spain and Germany have the most hotels on the list, according to Cvent, while Marriott, Hilton and InterContinental Hotels Group are the most represented hoteliers.

"In Europe, we saw a nearly 20 percent increase in RFP volume year-over-year, and hotels featured on this year's lists are elevating their MICE strategy through innovative digital marketing and quick and complete online responses to RFPs -- which is exactly what event organizers want," said Chris McAndrews, vice president of marketing for Cvent Hospitality Cloud. "Our 'Top Meeting Hotels' lists are consistently used by event organizers to find great hotels and by hoteliers looking to set themselves apart to increase their property's MICE revenue."

Cvent's full list of the Top 50 Meeting Hotels in Europe is available on its website, along with several other lists for European hotels: Top 50 Meeting Hotels in the U.K., Top 50 Meeting Hotels in Germany and Top 25 Independent Hotels in Europe.
