The 403-room Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown, across the street from the Fort Worth Convention Center in the fast-growing Texas city, has finished up a $50 million transformation.

“Nearly every inch of the hotel has been upgraded from the original design, from the lobby to the top floor Trinity suite,” said general manager Damien O’Connor. “We have created a place that is welcoming and comfortable for all guests.”

The bright and airy lobby now welcomes travelers into a calming space featuring an “abstract western” décor. Dining options include signature restaurant-bar West+Stone, serving upscale Southwestern/Mexican fare such as Birria Short Ribs, Spiked Shrimp Torta and Texas Tostaditas. An all-day menu is available for takeout at &More by Sheraton, the lobby café.

The hotel features about 30,000 square feet of conference space — including the 8,600-square-foot Magnolia Ballroom, the 1,728-square-foot Oak Ballroom and a host of smaller breakout spaces — with the latest A/V.

The modernized 403 rooms now sport platform beds, 55-inch TVs, adjustable work tables, numerous charging outlets and power sources, and much larger bathrooms. The work expanded the property's pool of suites to 37. The top-floor Trinity Suite features a large parlor and two bedrooms with king-sized beds. Among the hotel's amenities are a state-of-the-art fitness center and a completely remodeled indoor swimming pool.

“We have, in almost every way possible, built a brand-new hotel,” added O’Connor. “The same excellent location close to everything Fort Worth has to offer, but completely new from the lobby to the top-floor suites. It’s been a huge endeavor, but the end result has been worth the hard work and patience.”
