A rendering of the new Grand Hyatt Nashville in Nashville Yards
The 24-story, 591-room Grand Hyatt Nashville is scheduled to debut in fall 2020 as the brand's 12th U.S. property and the first tenant to open in the massive Nashville Yards, a 17-acre mixed-use development about 10 miles from Nashville International Airport.
The hotel will feature 77,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 20,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom and 32 meeting rooms spread across the second and third floors; a fifth-floor patio and pool deck; a fitness center; multiple restaurants and bars; a coffee shop; a rooftop lounge; a Grand Club Lounge and a spa. According to a news release, the Grand Hyatt Nashville will feature railroad design elements and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout.
In addition to the hotel's exclusive outdoor spaces, the west side of the property will face a 1.3-acre public park that guests will have access to via a pedestrian ramp.
"The views from the rooftop will be unbeatable," said Richard Ross, the hotel's director of sales and marketing. "Nashville Yards will change the landscape of the community as a whole."
Nashville Yards is described as "the next generation of urban development" for the Music City. In addition to the Grand Hyatt, Amazon is building two office towers and residential towers in the complex. Another component, an entertainment district from Anschutz Entertainment Group and MGM Resorts International, also is in the works with anticipated music venues, a boutique hotel and other attractions.
In total, Nashville Yards will have 3.5 million square feet of office space, 400,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space, more than 1,000 residential units and more than 1,100 hotel rooms.
