The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch in Arizona is undergoing a multiphase renovation to be finished this fall. The $110 million transformation encompasses the 493 rooms, the food-and-beverage outlets, the fitness center and the 70,000 square feet of meeting space. Upon completion, the property will be rebranded as a Grand Hyatt.

The updated pool deck already was revealed in June, with new lounge chairs and luxury cabanas at both the main pool and the adults-only facility. Cabanas now feature lounge chairs, a couch, a TV, fans, a mini-fridge and a safe. Food-and-beverage add-ons range from a "Build Your Own Bloody Mary Package," to a "Family Package" complete with an inner tube, beach balls, zero-proof cocktails, sunscreen and a bucket of beer for the parents.

Two dining experiences have been added in partnership with chef Richard Blais, the first winner of Top Chef All-Stars and costar of Next Level Chef. H2Oasis on the adult side serves tacos and frozen cocktails, highlighting cuisines from the South Pacific, Polynesia, Hawaii and the Caribbean. In the family-friendly section, Sandbar offers American comfort foods, such as burgers, chicken tenders and French fries.

"We are pleased to debut the new and improved pool experience just in time for the warm seasons ahead," said Lance Marrin, general manager of the hotel, when the areas reopened. "Guests can expect everything they've come to know and love about our premier water-infused experience with multiple pools and a sandy beach area, complemented by updated amenities, including luxury cabanas, new dining options and more."
