One UN New York, the landmark hotel at the United Nations headquarters on Manhattan's East Side, will become the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza effective Aug. 30. The property, which began a $68 million phased renovation in 2012, is New York's seventh Hilton-branded hotel.

"At Hilton, we are always looking to be in the heart of the world's top destinations that matter most to our guests and Hilton Honors members, and no city embodies this more than New York," said David Marr, senior vice president and global head of full-service brands for Hilton. "The addition of Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza brings our signature hospitality to the east side of Manhattan, and we look forward to providing exceptional guest experiences true to the Hilton brand."

One UN New York has 439 guest rooms, three restaurants and lounges, a 24-hour fitness center, a year-round tennis court and about 7,500 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom for groups of up to 300.

"We are very pleased that our unique property, located on the grounds of the United Nations headquarters, will be managed by Hilton as the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza," said Mr. Kwek Leng Beng, chairman of Millennium & Copthorne, the hotel's owner. "With the availability of premier accommodation and event space in Midtown Manhattan, Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza will be an ideal choice for many of the Hilton loyal guests. It is a win-win situation for both Hilton and Millennium Group. We look forward to this expanded relationship with Hilton in North America and internationally."
