The 293-room Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, in Paradise Valley, Ariz., is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation to its guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space that will finish up in the fall.
"This reimagining of our guest rooms and meeting spaces is just another example of how we are constantly evolving and improving to meet the needs of our guests," said general manager Rob Goins. "We've always been a sought-after destination for getaways and events. By breathing new life into these spaces we hope to further enhance the experiences had here."
The phased project begins with the guest rooms and luxury suites, using the concept of an oasis in the desert for inspiration. The accommodations will get new door finishes, secured with RFID; new lighting and drapery; new furniture including sofas with cactus silk pillows, coffee tables and Spanish-inspired desk chairs; homemade ceramics and fresh artwork; new decorative bedding; LED mirrors; and new bathroom accessories.
The redesigned prefunction area for the 27,000 square feet of indoor meeting space will draw inspiration from an Andalusian courtyard, and the individual meeting rooms extending from this space will offer unique color schemes and furnishings while maintaining the authentic Spanish look that event hosts have come to expect. New carpeting and wall coverings will be installed throughout. Brand-new artwork will be added throughout all function areas, along with updated banquet chairs and tables. The property also offers gardens, courtyards and lawns for special events.
Dining options at the resort include the critically acclaimed Prado restaurant, whose wood-fired tapas display kitchen serves up one of the area's most popular Sunday brunches. The Joya Spa features a hammam experience, a rejuvenating hot and cold bathing ritual as found in Turkish baths.
