The 473-room Westin Riverwalk on San Antonio's iconic waterway has completed an eight-month renovation to the 24-year-old hotel. The project upgraded all guest rooms and corridors, the business center and the fitness center, as well as a full revamp of the on-site restaurant and bar, ZoccaCuisine D’Italia.
"We’re beyond thrilled to see our vision come to life," said Maria Martinez, general manager of the property. "We didn’t want to lose the existing charm people have come to know and love, so we built upon our authentic riverfront locale and delivered certain luxuries to mirror the premium status of the hotel."
Dallas-based interior design firm Waldrop + Nichols created the new look, aiming for a warm and inviting residential feel and quality. The business center, just off the lobby, now offers flexible seating options for individuals and small groups.
Some guest rooms now have walk-in showers with natural-stone accents, and all rooms now have Westin heavenly showers fixtures. The fitness center has been transformed into a WestinWorkout Fitness Studio.
Zocca Cuisine D’Italia, the on-site restaurant and bar that serves up Italian-inspired dishes with a Texas twist, has a new bar that flows seamlessly out onto the patio along the River Walk. The restaurant's new interior features contemporary tables and chairs, cozy walled-in booths, and cushioned banquette-seating areas.
Within walking distance of the Alamo and many of the city's attractions, the Westin Riverwalk also has more than 26,000 square feet of meeting space.
