Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y., has wrapped up a $400 million transformation project ahead of schedule. Owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation, the resort now offers four hotels with a total of 1,046 guest rooms, 26 restaurants and 225,000 square feet of meetings space.
The multimillion-dollar project, known as Turning Stone Evolution, was completed at the end of August — months ahead of the original 2027 timeline. The new Grand Expo doubles the resort's meeting space, adding a 30,000-square-foot ballroom, a 24,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard and nine meeting rooms. The Crescent, a new hotel tower with 258 rooms, debuted earlier this summer and connects directly to the Grand Expo.
"With the completion of the Turning Stone Evolution and the opening of the Grand Expo, we have fulfilled our most ambitious vision yet for the resort, our enterprises and Central New York," said Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. He hopes the investment "will transform tourism and economic development in the region for decades to come, allowing us to continue diversifying our enterprises, attract larger events and compete with the country's top business and leisure travel destinations.”
