Bulgari Hotels & Resorts plans to open its first U.S. property in Miami Beach. The waterfront hotel is expected to debut in 2024.
The Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach will be about a 10-minute walk from the Miami Beach Convention Center. The original building was designed by Miami-based architect Albert Anis during the city's modern movement in the late 1950s. A full restoration and revamp of the property will be led by the Italian firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, which has designed all of the other Bulgari hotels.
Plans for the new resort call for 100 rooms, most of which will be suites. An outdoor swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, and a restaurant and bar led by Italian Michelin-star chef Niko Romito will be among the amenities.
The Miami Beach hotel will be the 11th property in the Bulgari collection. The luxury brand also has resorts in Milan, London, Dubai, Bali, Beijing and Shanghai. Upcoming additions to the collection include Paris (opening in 2021), Rome (2022), Moscow (2022) and Tokyo (2023).
"We are particularly proud to have secured such an extraordinary location for the new Bulgari Hotel in Miami Beach," said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari. "This will be our first property in the United States, which is a key market for our brand, and we are delighted to add the vibrant and glamorous Miami Beach to our collection."
