In 2020, Aman Hotels & Resorts will open an 83-room property in New York City's Crown Building, at the corner of 57th Street and Fifth Avenue. The luxury property will also have 20 private residences.
Aman's New York location, which overlooks Central Park, will be the brand's third in the U.S. (following Amangiri in Utah and Amangani in Wyoming) and its second (after Tokyo) in an urban destination.
Among the offerings will be a 21,600-square-foot, three-story spa, whose centerpiece will be an indoor swimming pool surrounded by fire pits and daybeds. The hotel will have two restaurants -- Arva, offering Italian cuisine, and Nama, a Japanese eatery -- as well as a piano bar, a cigar bar, a wine library and a subterranean jazz club. Guest rooms be spacious, starting at 750-square-feet, and each will have its own working fireplace.
"The Crown Building represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring Aman to New York, the world's greatest and most dynamic city," said Vladislav Doronin, CEO of Aman, which has 34 properties. "We are honored to be the stewards of an exciting new chapter in this iconic building's legacy."
