Directly across from the Santa Clara Convention Center in California’s Silicon Valley, the 280-room Hilton Santa Clara has just completed a multimillion-dollar renovation spanning its accommodations, dining concepts and meeting and event spaces. For groups, the overhaul brings updated meeting technology and a collection of new venues that range from an eighth-floor meeting space to a 7,500-square-foot outdoor gathering spot.

“This renovation represents an exciting new chapter for Hilton Santa Clara,” said Farshad Mayelzadeh, general manager of Hilton Santa Clara. “We’ve created a hotel that reflects the energy of Silicon Valley and gives guests and meeting planners new ways to connect, gather and experience Santa Clara.”

Meet in the Valley

Hilton Santa Clara offers 16,800 square feet of meeting and event space, anchored by the 2,835-square-foot Sierra Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 300 guests. The hotel’s meeting venues have received a technology upgrade, with new 98-inch presentation screens, Logitech video-conferencing capabilities, electronic signage and interactive whiteboards, while a large display in the lobby offers another way for groups to welcome attendees and share event information.

Beyond the ballroom, the renovation has given planners several less-traditional places to gather as well. On the eighth floor, the new 737-square-foot Skybox overlooks Levi’s Stadium and California’s Great America and can accommodate up to 35 guests for executive meetings, small receptions and VIP gatherings. For a more casual setting, the 1,512-square-foot Game Room features a pool table, foosball, ping pong, darts and multiple televisions, making it an option for team building, networking, receptions and post-meeting gatherings.

The largest of the new venues, however, takes groups alfresco. The 7,500-square-foot End Zone, formerly known as TAILG8, sits adjacent to Levi’s Stadium and features permanent turf and a food trailer. The open-air venue can be used for corporate receptions, team outings, networking events, branded activations and pre- or post-game functions.

That stadium connection comes at a particularly opportune time: the San Francisco 49ers recently invested $200 million in upgrades to Levi’s Stadium ahead of its busy 2026 calendar, including renovated luxury suites and club areas, new 4K video boards and connectivity improvements. The stadium hosted both Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup matches this year.

New options for private dining

Groups looking to keep an evening function on property have a few new choices as well. The renovation marks the debut of Circuit Restaurant & Patio, serving California-Mediterranean fare, along with two private dining rooms, Link and Connection, the latter of which opens onto a 1,600-square-foot patio for outdoor dining and events.

Additionally, the hotel has updated its banquet menu for meetings and group functions.

A Silicon Valley vibe

The new design extends well beyond the hotel’s function spaces, and draws heavily on its Silicon Valley setting, with tech-inspired patterns appearing throughout the guest rooms too. Warm metallic tones and pops of color are said to take their cues from circuit boards and resistors, respectively.

Taking the tech theme a step further, the property has enlisted ToDe, a service robot that assists guests during their stay.

Getting there

For groups venturing beyond the hotel, several of Santa Clara’s major attractions and transportation links are close at hand. In addition to sitting across from the Santa Clara Convention Center, Hilton Santa Clara is within walking distance of Levi’s Stadium and California’s Great America and approximately five miles from San Jose Mineta International Airport. The property is steps from VTA Light Rail, with connections to Caltrain and BART for travel throughout the Bay Area.
