Lake Tahoe's Horizon Casino Resort, which closed this spring for renovations, will reopen in mid-December as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe, according to the Reno-Gazette Journal. Previous plans had been to rename the property the Park Tahoe Casino Resort, after the Park family, who are part owners of the venue. About $60 million in renovations will upgrade all 539 guest rooms, as well as the restaurant and entertainment venues.
