Detroit's Greektown Casino-Hotel, which was to be rebranded as Jack Detroit in May, will keep the Greektown name alive a bit longer. Jack Entertainment, the Detroit-based company that owns the property, is now targeting the end of summer for the rebrand, to allow for a seamless technological integration across all Jack properties.

There already are three Jack-branded properties in Ohio - in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Thistledown in North Randall. The additional time will allow for all regulatory approvals and smoother loyalty-program integration.

Two new restaurants at Greektown, Monroe Market and Noodle Art, will open in May as originally planned. The resort will debut seven new eateries in total, offering a variety of cuisines. Both of the May debuts will be on the third level of the casino.

Jack Entertainment will release more information about the rebranding as new details become available. The company also owns the Turfway Park racing facility in Florence, Ky., and the Horseshoe Baltimore Casino, which is part of the Caesars portfolio.
