The 8th Annual World Medical Tourism & Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress will be held in Orlando September 2015 at the Orange County Convention Center. The congress is the most comprehensive international healthcare conference and trade show in the industry attracting upwards of 2,500–2,800 participants, including 200 qualified buyers of healthcare, insurance and medical equipment and 200–250 exhibitors. The Association is also the industry's official organization dedicated to the growth of medical tourism globally. And it has grown__by about 500 members each year. "I've never seen an organization grow this fast," says Patty L. Holland, Congress & Events Executive Producer & Government Relations Liaison for the conference. Participants in the event include doctors, hospital and medical directors and ministers of tourism from more than 90 countries who come to learn about the "latest and greatest" in medical tourism, says Holland. Still in the planning stages for September, it is Holland's intention that speakers from area hospitals around the state will also participate.

"We're thrilled to host this prestigious group. We have long seen the value in medical meetings and conventions, and we recognize the growing demand from visitors coming to Orlando for their healthcare needs, while also experiencing our destination. Having this congress in our community reinforces our plans to continue positioning Orlando as a premier medical tourism destination," says George Aguel, CEO of Visit Orlando.
