TSEA Study: Exhibitors Dissatisfied With Convention Housing Practices

A Trade Show Exhibitors Association study of 188 exhibitors revealed that 97 percent of those polled don’t believe they are getting the best possible rates when booking hotel rooms through convention housing blocks. Respondents represented large and midsized North American firms; the online study was conducted from Dec. 6, 2009, through Jan. 14. Among other findings: 89 percent do not think the hotel room deposits are reasonable for the shows at which they currently exhibit, and 83 percent do not feel they have sufficient time to submit names of their company’s attendees for convention housing blocks.
