According to Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a hot new cocktail trend incorporates Japanese whiskey instead of Scotch or bourbon. While some varieties of Japanese whiskey pack a smoky punch, they're known for their lighter, cleaner and even floral-tinged flavor.
